Post scripts from the Bourne Historical Society (fall 2014) announces their fall fundraiser, the Scenic Harvest Train ride, round trip from Bourne to North Falmouth and back on Sat. afternoon October 18. Also included is "A Brief History of Bassetts Island", which lies near the Sandwich/Falmouth line.
The Chatham Historical Society's Atwood Log (summer 2014) announces the acquisition of an early 1900s Amesbury dory, This dory would have been taken to the Grand Banks on a schooner, then used to trawl for herring and mackerel.
