Grandmothers, Mothers, and Daughters: Researching Your Family Lines

Joining us at our Annual Luncheon on Wednesday, June 18, at the Old Yarmouth Inn, will be professional genealogist, Lisa Alzo. After lunch, she will be sharing with us her tried and true methods for finding those elusive females in your family tree.

An avid genealogist for over 20 years, Lisa teaches online genealogy courses for Family Tree University and the National  Institute for Genealogical Studies. She is a freelance writer and internationally recognized lecturer, speaking at national conferences, genealogical and historical societies. Her most popular topics include Slovak/Eastern European genealogical research, writing your family history, and using the internet to trace female and immigrant ancestors.   She is the author of nine books, including Three Slovak Women, the story of three generations of her own family, living in Pennsylvania, and has also written articles for numerous magazines and journals.

The Annual Luncheon begins at 11:30 AM with a social hour, followed by our meal at 12:30. All current members should have received their reservation form in the mail. Reservations may still be made by contacting Bebe Brock at  crosby1635@gmail.com  by June 5, 2014.
