We welcome new and experienced members to the Cape Cod Genealogical Society, and we realize that genealogy can sometimes be overwhelming and puzzling. The Society offers a number of events and services which will help anyone get started or continue--whether or not you are brand new to genealogy, are experienced in genealogy and have just joined us, or have been a member of CCGS for some time but would like a "refresher".
We will be offering two Orientation
Sessions in January, 2013 for new members or for any members who would like more
information about what the Society offers; the presentations on both dates will
be the same, and we have selected two dates to accommodate individual schedules:
First Option: Wednesday, January 9, 2013, 12noon to 2pm, Dennis Public
Library, Dennisport
Second Option: Saturday, January 12, 2013, 12 noon to 2pm, Dennis Public
Library, Dennisport
In each session we will explain the services of the Society and in addition give some help in moving
forward with your own genealogy with individual questions. Examples of information to be shared: How to get the most benefit from Special Interest Groups, How to take advantage of the CCGS Genealogy Library collection at Dennis Public Library, How to learn about genealogical methods, and more.
Please let us know by the deadline
of Wednesday, January 2, 2013, through email or phone (508-527-0460) to reserve a space at either of these
sessions. Both sessions are free of charge for members.
We look forward to being of
assistance!
