Genealogy-Education Series Set for Barnstable

The three-session Genealogical Workshop Series will be offered by the CCGS Education Committee at the Barnstable Senior Center, Route 28, west of Hyannis. Dates are Mondays, January 23, February 6, and February 13, 2012; all sessions will be 1:30-3:30pm. Plenty of parking is available at the Center.

On January 23, topics will include: Vital Records, Church Records, Land Deeds, Probates and Wills, and general how-to's for genealogy. The February 6 session will cover Immigration Records and Migration Trends, and the February 13 session will cover Computer Software for Genealogical Record-keeping and Using the Internet for Genealogical Research. The series will be helpful for anyone who would like a review of genealogical methods, as well as for individuals who are just beginning their genealogical research.
