April 2011 Mentoring Sessions

Listed below are three Mentoring Sessions which are being offered in the month of April.  Since some of our sessions have generated a lot of interest, you must contact the mentor prior to the session to register to attend.  A Mentor may need to limit the number of attendees in a session:

Thursday  April 7, 2011
Topic:    Getting the Word Out
Mentor:   Chris Geanacopoulos.  Chris will introduce the basic word processing skills that will get you started writing your Family History on your computer.  Contact Chris at cgean@aol.com for your reservation.

Topic:    Using the Census for Research
Mentor:   David S. Martin.  Are you using the Census for your research?  Come to this session to learn how to make best uses of and avoid pitfalls in the US Census.  Learn also about Census substitutes when the Census is missing or incomplete.  Contact David at davidchina_2000@yahoo.com for a reservation.

Topic:     Research Resources for the State of Maine
